  • Top Tips to Avoid Depression While on the HCG Diet

Depression can hit anyone. In fact, there is a major prevalence of Depression in Western countries in recent years.

Since body weight issues are sometimes one of the major contributors to depression, there may be times that you will feel depressed when you’re still new to a particular diet.

Today, we are going to talk about some tips to avoid getting depressed or sad when you’re on the hCG diet. The hCG diet can be easy or hard depending on your perception of things. If you think eating a heavily calorie restricted meal every day and injecting yourself with the hCG hormone is hard, then it will be. But, if you take it as it is and just do what you have to do, then the hCG diet is just another diet, and thus, just another journey.

Now, I am not saying that all people who try the hCG diet are going to undergo a phase of depression. What I am trying to say is that some people might get depressed during their hCG diet journey, especially when they already have depressive symptoms beforehand.

If you’re not suffering from clinical depression and you’re only experiencing some form of mild depression, then these three tips will help you immensely.

So, without further ado, here are the top tips to avoid depression while on the hCG diet:

    1. Take on an Active Lifestyle. One hallmark of being depressed is not doing anything in life. To avoid getting depressed while you’re on the hCG diet, be more active. Take a walk, go with a buddy to the movies, take your dog for a walk, play some basketball, or just about any enjoyable activity out there. Yes, you will only have a limited amount of calories. But since the hCG hormone gets energy from your stored fats, you will have more than enough energy to enjoy your day.
    2. Always have a Support Group. Humans are herd animals. What I mean by that is that we humans function at our best when we have someone who supports us. Having a support group can severely cut those depressive symptoms from ever happening. If you feel the need to talk to someone, go to a friend or a family member you trust the most. This is especially true when you’re on the hCG diet because, as previously mentioned, the hCG diet can be hard. Ask for emotional support whenever you need it.
    3. Do the things that make you happy. The most important tip of all is to do the things that make you happy. To avoid depression, you just have to go out there and the things that really interests you. If you want to go run a marathon, then do so. If you want to read a lot of books, then do so. Just remember, a happy mind equals a happy life. Just remember to not do stress eating as it doesn’t only adhere to the hCG diet standards, but it can also be damaging in the long run.

Depression can strike anyone, but with these three tips, it can be avoided or, at least, minimized. If you’re on the hCG diet and you’re exhibiting some depressive symptoms, then try some of these tips out.
